Game Timeline

A rough outline of the timings for the game.

30 minutes before game start: 

  • GMs will be online to help with tech, and answer early questions
  • You can use the Discord to chat about relations between characters if you wish (possibly even before GMs online)

Game Start

00:00 – 00:40 Game Intro

  • Brief introduction to setting for those who haven’t read website
  • Mood, game structure, and flow between combat and flight deck segments
  • Introduction Video to help set mood (especially for players who haven’t seen BSG:33)
  • Explain the Discord channel set up
  • “Prequel” training flight to help players understand space segments before they are in character
  • Q&A

00:40 – 00:55 Time-in on the flight deck

  • There are 15 minutes left till Enemy arrival #bridge-announcements channel will run a 15 minute countdown
  • In-Character briefing from CAG (video or live). 
  • Roleplay on radio channels or via suit interconnects
  • When timer expires, Enemy will arrive

00:55 – 01:05 Space Combat Mission 1

  • Players join audio channel for their wing, but also view the text channel for their wing.
  • Bridge will recall fighters before the Castor jumps via text channel

01:05-01:38 Flight deck segment 1 (33 minutes)

  • #bridge-announcements channel will run a 33 minute countdown
  • Roleplay on radio channels or via suit interconnects
  • When timer expires, Enemy will arrive

01:38-01:48 Space Combat Mission 2

  • Players join audio channel for their wing, but also view the text channel for their wing.
  • Bridge will recall fighters before the Castor jumps via text channel

01:48-02:21 Flight deck segment 2 (33 minutes)

  • #bridge-announcements channel will run a 33 minute countdown
  • Roleplay on radio channels or via suit interconnects
  • When timer expires, Enemy will arrive

02:21-02:31 Space Combat Mission 3

(If you are going to do something dramatic in space, now is the time!)

  • Players join audio channel for their wing, but also view the text channel for their wing.
  • Bridge will recall fighters before the Castor jumps via text channel

02:31-02:46 Compressed Flight deck segment 3

This segment represents the last 15 minutes before the Enemy are due to arrive after Space Combat Mission 3. The game ends when the times expires

  • #bridge-announcements channel will run a 15 minute countdown
  • Roleplay on radio channels or via suit interconnects
  • When timer expires, game ends before we find out if the Enemy arrive

02:46 End Game

Everyone goes to the off-game channel. Players decide if the Enemy arrives this time, and what the fate of the Castor and fleet are.
